2011 49ers Draft Picks: Aldon Smith Video Proves He'll Fit Right in the Bay Area

Aldon Smith, the San Francisco 49ers first round draft pick, seems like he is a guy who will fit right in around the Bay Area, and there's video to prove it.

He was interviewed before his initial press conference as a 49er, and revealed a few things that Bay Area fans might like to hear: He enjoys wearing Giants gear, loves Coach Harbugh's intensity, and he plans on using his versatility in any aspect asked of him with the 49ers.  He seems like a very humble and put together individual, definitely the type of character the Niners want on their squad. Smith says he models his game after guys like Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews, and if he produces like those guys do, every Niner fan will absolutely love this kid.

He showed real character when asked about his Missouri counterpart Blaine Gabbert, who was projected higher that Smith but fell later in the draft. Smith wouldn't comment and said he will do fine wherever he ends up. Class act.

He reportedly was seen rocking a Giants hat in Arizona earlier this year, but stated it was coincidence and it simply matched his shoes that day. I bet he'll be wearing it a lot more nowadays, as Smith is also is a Tim Lincecum fan.

Smith hasn't spent much time in and around the Bay, and still has to decide where he chooses to live; one interviewer recommended the Marina district (I'm sure he can afford it now).

Great video, definitely worth checking out:
