The folks at SB Nation took an excellent screen shot of Colin Kaepernick shortly after he was selected, which featured him kicking back at home in Turlock wearing no shoes. The former Nevada quarterback joins the San Francisco 49ers as a possible quarterback of the future. The 49er traded up in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Given that Kaepernick is a guy who can move around, it's probably a good idea to get some air for his feet.
Kaepernick was watching the draft an hour away from the Bay Area in Turlock, which afforded him the opportunity to drive with his family over to Santa Clara shortly after being selected. He took part in a press conference at 49ers headquarters late yesterday afternoon following a post-selection conference call. A quick look at the comments would indicate a player that is extremely excited to be a member of the 49ers. Obviously players are excited just to be drafted, but he actually seems psyched by the team.
