The close of week 14 means it is once again time for NFL Power Rankings. It was another up and down week in the NFL as the Denver Broncos took a firm one-game lead in the AFC West. Their comeback win over the Bears, coupled with the Raiders blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers leaves the Broncos in control moving forward.
CBS Sports released their Week 15 NFL Power Rankings and the Broncos have climbed up to ninth in the rankings. They have won six straight under Tim Tebow and while the defense and Willis McGahee have been integral to that, there is just something about Tebow. It has become fascinating to see them come back week in and week out. It will be an interesting test when they host the New England Patriots this weekend given how prolific a scoring team the Patriots have been.
The Oakland Raiders dropped from No. 12 to No. 14 following their tough loss to the Packers. The Raiders are dealing with numerous injuries and are still wondering when they will get many of their players back. They face the Detroit Lions on Sunday and are in must-win territory at this point. They trail Denver by a game in the division and the Jets by a game in the wildcard. With only three games remaining, they need to get it in gear.
Here are the top ten according to CBS Sports Week 15 NFL Power Rankings:
1. Green Bay Packers
2. Baltimore Ravens
3. Houston Texans
4. Pittsburgh Steelers
5. New Orleans Saints
6. New England Patriots
7. San Francisco 49ers
8. Atlanta Falcons
9. Denver Broncos
10. New York Jets
