49ers Vs. Cardinals Recap By The Numbers: Michael Crabtree, Frank Gore Shine In Win

The San Francisco 49ers picked up another win on Sunday, defeating the Arizona Cardinals 23-7 to improve their record to 9-1.

The vaunted Niners defense was once again excellent, although Sunday's game was nearly a day off for them. They were so dominant that they only had to be on the field for the scant 15:44 that Arizona controlled the ball. San Francisco held Cardinals rushers to 80 yards and only allowed them to convert one out of nine third down attempts. Ahmad Brooks and Aldon Smith each recorded sacks.

On offense, it was another stellar game for receiver Michael Crabtree, who finished with 120 yards on seven catches. Vernon Davis, meanwhile, took his place in the record books with a touchdown reception, which puts him alone in first place on the all-time San Francisco tight end touchdown list. Davis had 67 yards on five catches.

David Akers was responsible for all scoring in the first half of the game with three field goals, from 22, 43 and 29 yards, respectively. He finished the day three-for-six on field goal attempts.

Frank Gore again led Niners rushers with 88 yards on 24 carries. Quarterback Alex Smith had a solid game despite several miscues. He was 20-for-38 with 267 passing yards, 17 rushing yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Smith's interception was the only 49ers turnover of the game, compared to five turnovers for the Cardinals.
