The big name for San Francisco is obviously Frank Gore. The star running back announced earlier today that he fully expects to play this week. Gore also went into detail about how the leg was injured in the first place.

"They fell on me. Banged it. Hit the ground. Hyper extended my and that kind of shut down my whole leg. I couldn't really push off like I wanted to. I just wanted to be smart and Coach Rathman wanted me to be smart. I know we've got a long season ahead. I know we can be successful and I want to be there."

If he's healthy on Sunday afternoon, expect a big game on the ground for the 49ers.
