49ers Vs. Browns Score: Alex Smith And Frank Gore Pacing San Francisco To 17-3 Halftime Lead

The San Francisco 49ers aren't really feeling much heat yet from the Cleveland Browns. San Francisco has doubled up on first downs and tripled up on yardage, and have controlled both the rushing and passing aspects of the ball game.

After taking an early 10-0 lead and getting stuffed on 4th and goal to prevent an even bigger lead, it wasn't long before SF was marching again. Frank Gore ripped off rushes of 14, five, three and six yards.  Alex Smith found Braylon Edwards twice for first down conversions and scrambled for nine yards before getting his first passing touchdown of the day when he found Michael Crabtree for a two yard score.

Cleveland did manage a late field goal drive by Colt McCoy to narrow the gap to two touchdowns before halftime, but unless the Browns can stop Gore (20 rushes for 109 yards and a score) and Smith (10 for 15 for 108 yards and 1 passing score), they're going to have a tough time mounting a comeback.
