Lions Defensive Coordinator Gunther Cunningham Still Thinking About 49ers

I don't know about you, dear reader, but I always find it quite flattering (from a fan's standpoint) when a past opponent (or fan of a past opponent) can't seem to get over a team I like. Whether they lost or they had an embarrassing moment, it's always deliciously amusing to see somebody frustrated and boiling under the surface. It's even better when that person should have the entirety of his focus on something else at that point, but he can't bring himself to. It leaves me tickled, even.

So when I posted about this over at SB Nation Detroit, I was quietly laughing. Just a little bit. Apparently, 49ers right tackle Anthony Davis got under the skin of Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham. He had some choice words for Davis on Saturday, what do you make of them? I mean, other than the fact that it's obviously hilarious.

"Like their (right) tackle, I don't even know his name, he's talking about blocking everybody," Cunningham said. "Well, I looked at the tape. I might make a highlight tape and put it on Twitter so everyone can see what he did. It just really -- the more I talk about this, the madder I get because, I just want to play them again."
