The latest Madden NF L12 roster update is set to come out on Friday at some point for Xbox 360 and PS3 users. As always, the updates were posted by EA the day before, so we've got the list of changes for you right now. For the San Francisco 49ers, they did have more people go up than go down but I will say that they did, in fact, get screwed this time around.
Both Adam Snyder and Chilo Rachal received decreases for this update - both of them one point and minor, but it's a matter of principle at this point. They both already have ratings below the average starter at their positions by a good margin. The kicker? Both of them looked great against the Detroit Lions, which this update is based on. Snyder looked good and was injured, then Rachal came in and surprised everyone by looking good. The two contributed to a rushing attack that accounted for more than 200 yards and neither allowed a sack or quarterback hit, while blocking Ndamukong Suh. Yeah, it's garbage. Make the jump for the list of 49ers changes.
LB Aldon Smith 79 to 81
LB NaVorro Bowman 80 to ?
DE Justin Smith 95 to 97
RG Adam Snyder 75 to 74
RG Chilo Rachal 77 to 76
There was also the change of adding Kerry Taylor to the roster, but the team has already cut him from the practice squad, and removing Josh Morgan from the depth chart. As noted, those decreases are absolutely ludicrous. They also didn't fill in how much Bowman went up by, but I'd wager it's just a one or two point increase. Justin Smith deserves every bit of his 97 and Aldon Smith surely deserves his increase, as he emerges as a defensive rookie of the year candidate. I did expect some members of the secondary go up, though.
