Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Week 6: What Does WR Joshua Morgan's Injury Mean For Delanie Walker, Ted Ginn, Kyle Williams?

Fantasy football owners are likely spending their Tuesday scouring their league waiver wire looking for that player who could be a difference-maker for them. Through five weeks, most "sleeper" players were grabbed through the first month, leaving mostly scraps at this point for leagues of twelve or more teams. However, there are some interesting possibilities out there if you know where to look.

If you are looking for a wide receiver, the 49ers might have a couple intriguing options for you. Starter Josh Morgan suffered a broken bone in his lower leg in the 49ers 48-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is out for an undisclosed amount of time, but it could be upwards of a couple months or more.

Morgan had developed into a solid wide receiver for the 49ers this season as the offense continued to grow under head coach Jim Harbaugh. Now that he is gone, the 49ers are looking at some other options in free agency, including T.J. Houshmandzadeh. While a free agent could get some looks, the biggest beneficiaries will be Delanie Walker, Ted Ginn Jr. and Kyle Williams. If you are looking for a body at wide receiver during this bye week, Ginn and Williams both could see some good looks. If you are looking for a tight end replacement, consider Delanie Walker. He is not a superstar, but he was a wide receiver in college before being converted to tight end. I actually think Walker could be up for a big week against the Lions.
