NFL Injury Report, Week 14: 49ers-Seahawks Injury Updates

New, 1 comment

It's Thursday, and the injury front is shaping up for both teams. The 49ers of course, will not have Frank Gore, but that's going to continue throughout the season as he's on injured reserve. There's still another injury report to go until we see who is definitively out and who will likely be playing, but it's good to get an idea early.

Kicker Joe Nedney remains out while on the roster for San Francisco, and Jeff Reed will once again handle kickoffs and field goals for the 49ers. He was 3-for-3 last week against the Packers. Left tackle Joe Staley also remains out with a fibula injury. It was announced by defensive coordinator Greg Manusky that nose tackle Aubrayo Franklin would likely not be playing, as he was limited in practice on Thursday. Second year player Ricky Jean Francois would be making the start at nose tackle, and Fooch over at Niners Nation has some thoughts regarding that.

The big names for Seattle are their wide receivers, Mike Williams and Ben Obomanu. Both have now missed practice for two days in a row and the Seahawks figure to be without at least one of them come Sunday. Williams has become a great primary target for them, while Obomanu has been the team's primary deep threat and would definitely be missed.
