NFL Week 16 Bay Area TV Schedule: 49ers-Rams, Chargers-Bengals; Raiders-Colts Blacked Out

Here are the games that'll be televised in the Bay Area, courtesy of the 506.

1 PM, FOX: San Francisco 49ers at St. Louis Rams
4:05 PM, CBS: San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals

Why no Oakland Raiders when they're still fighting for a playoff spot?

Because apparently no one wants to show up to their game. Steve Corkran of the Oakland Tribune reported that there was such a surplus of tickets for Sunday's matchup with the Indianapolis Colts that they didn't even bother asking for an extension of the deadline past when tickets must be sold out for the game. Hence, no TV for the Raiders game. Because the Bay Area is a primary market for the Raiders, they're not allowed to show a game on the other TV channel (in this case, FOX, so no Packers-Giants or Seahawks-Bucs for football fans either), and will thus be stuck with a Chargers-Bengals game that hardly anyone cares about.
