Raiders Sign J.T. O'Sullivan; 49ers Fans Cringe

New, 4 comments

The Oakland Raiders have signed former 49ers QB J.T. O'Sullivan in light of Bruce Gradkowski's shoulder injury. I'll let that one marinate for a second as 49ers fans get the bitter beer face while pondering that move. Gradkowski suffered a separated right shoulder and is likely done for the season. The Raiders will move back to Jason Campbell as starting QB, with Kyle Boller backing him up and JTO serving as the emergency number three QB.

The man once known as Just Touchdowns O'Sullivan at UC Davis quickly developed into some combination of Just Turnovers O'Mulligan in his short stint with the 49ers. He shot to the top of the 49ers depth chart courtesy of Alex Smith's shoulder injury and Mike Martz running the offense. Mike Singletary owes him a bit of a debt of gratitude as JTO's abysmal time with the 49ers was one of many reasons Mike Nolan was eventually fired. Tom Cable, watch your back.
