NFL Power Rankings, Week 13: 49ers, Raiders Each Move A Couple Spots

SB Nation released their NFL power rankings today and the 49ers and Raiders movement shouldn’t surprise people. The 49ers win gained them two spots while the Raiders loss dropped them two spots.

24. San Francisco 49ers (4-7): Kudos to the 49ers for taking care of the Cardinals. Unfortunately, they’re just one of many who has taken care of the Cardinals. Somehow the 49ers are just one game out of first place in the NFC West. LW: 26

As Joel Thorman indicates, this game really isn’t a big breakthrough for the 49ers because the Cardinals are not particularly good. Every win is a good win, but the 49ers will get a better idea of where they are at when they travel to Green Bay this weekend.

19. Oakland Raiders (5-6): After three consecutive convincing wins, the Raiders lost by 32 and 16 points in the last two weeks. They now sit one game behind the Chargers and two behind the Chiefs. In other words, the playoffs probably aren’t happening this year. LW: 17

The Raiders loss to Miami was a tough one for fans to take and although only two games out of first place, Oakland’s playoff chances are certainly slim. While they can certainly beat the teams on their schedule, only the Broncos game comes across as one that can be marked down as a good chance of winning. Throw in having to go to San Diego and to Kansas City and the Raiders have their work cut out for them.
