Marcus Thornton Injury: Kings Leading Scorer Not Expected To Play Against Thunder

The Sacramento Kings have struggled mightily since the All-Star Break, and the loss of leading scorer Marcus Thornton has done nothing but cause problems for the team. The game on Friday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder was going to be difficult all by itself, but not having Thornton in the lineup seemingly makes this game un-winnable for Sacramento.

This late in the season and with the NBA Lottery coming up, I'll let you be the judge of whether or not that is a good thing.

The Kings will now rely heavily on the trio of Isaiah Thomas, Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins for a bulk of the scoring. Look for Jimmer Fredette -- yes, he's still alive -- to get a few extra minutes this evening at the shooting guard spot.
