The Sacramento Kings had a great chance to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers. But they screwed it up on the last two possessions from their stars.
After Isaiah Thomas helped propel the Kings with a brilliant performance, both DeMarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans committed two stupid fouls on two consecutive possessions, both of which allowed the Cavs to take the lead in the final seconds. Cousins did get a huge bucket and free throw that gave Sacramento a one point lead, then Evans fouled Kyrie Irving with almost no time left to allow Irving to sink the game winning free throws.
Sacramento was led by Thomas, who put up 23 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds, as he dominated all night long. Marcus Thornton added 21 points and 10 rebounds. But Cousins (19 points on six of 17 shooting, with 9 rebounds) and Evans (10 points on five of 17 shooting) both had tough nights. The Cavs were led by Irving with 23 points; Antwan Jamison added 21 points and eight rebounds, while Tristan Thompson put in 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Sacramento has now lost all four games on their road trip, with a date in Miami upcoming.
