According to multiple sources, including Sports Illustrated's Sam Amick, the Sacramento Kings will hire former Toronto Raptors assistant and NBA All-Star Alex English to join newly appointed head coach Keith Smart.

English was the director of player development and an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors from 2004-11 after a couple of seasons as an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks.
As a player English retired as the sixth leading scoring in NBA History, was a eight time All-Star and won the scoring title in 1983. His #2 his been retired by the Denver Nuggets, though spent time with the Bucks, Pacers, Mavericks as well as in Italy.
English has also spent time as an actor, garnering roles in a 1987 motion picture titled Amazing Grace and Chuck, a 1989 TV series titled Midnight Caller, as well as 1996's motion picture classic Eddie.
