Jimmer Fredette wasn't expected to do a lot in his first season with the Sacramento Kings. It only took him just over two weeks to get a starting spot.
With Marcus Thornton sidelined with a thigh contusion, Fredette takes over two-guard responsibilities and will start alongside Tyreke Evans in the Sacramento backcourt. Fredette will probably be tasked with guarding the sharpshooter Jodie Meeks, so this might be a nice matching duel of two players with similar skillsets. Jimmer's defense will be challenged here, as he's had trouble matching his offensive production on the floor.
Even if this is a road contest in Philadelphia, there will definitely be Jimmer fans in attendance, as this picture courtesy of doktakra on Twitter makes perfectly clear.
Can the Sixers make the Kings pay for Jimmer being on the floor for 30-35 minutes? We shall soon find out.
