Hedo Turkoglu Nails Clutch Shot, Says Bye To Sacramento Kings

During his first stint with the Orlando Magic, Hedo Turkoglu gained a reputation for being Mr. 4th Quarter, nailing the big shots that closed out close basketball games. He hasn't had that kind of luck quite yet in his second stint around as he's been forced to share the ball with so many other players on his team (Jameer Nelson, J.J Redick, Gilbert Arenas, and Jason Richardson being some of the key guys).

But he got his chance against his former team. Leading the Sacramento Kings by two with under a minute left, Hedo held the ball at the left wing with Omri Casspi guarding him. Brandon Bass came to set a screen so Turkoglu could get a lane toward the basket. For reasons unbeknown to me, Jason Thompson came over to trap...toward the sideline. Hedo took two steps to his right, and pulled up for the dagger three that was the difference in the game. Bonus for the reaction from the Kings bench, who were bracing in horror for the result.

And then he waved 'bye', presuming the game was over. (Well, hopefully he just meant the Kings. If he meant Sacramento, that's kind of a dickish thing to do to them right now. I'm going to assume the former.)
