Kings Vs. Lakers Score Update: Tyreke Evans, Sacramento Take 49-40 Halftime Lead

The Sacramento Kings are using their superior guard play to really take it to the Los Angeles Lakers through one half of play. The Kings look like the crisper team, hitting 53% of their shots. Tyreke Evans has 12 points and three assists to lead the Kings, and Marcus Thornton has provided solid support with nine points, three rebounds and three assists. Jimmer Fredette and Travis Outlaw both have six points off the bench, and Chuck Hayes has been impressive in his Sacramento debut with eight points.

The Lakers look very fatigued after playing the second night of a back-to-back, shooting 36% from the field and making only one three. Kobe Bryant is shooting around 30% from the field to lead the Lakers with 12 points, Metta World Peace has 10 points, and Troy Murphy has eight, but the rest of the Lakers (particularly Derek Fisher and Pau Gasol) are struggling to hit their shots.
