After Thursday, the Oakland Athletics may be considering asking the Colorado Rockies if they wouldn't mind switching home parks for a while. The A's completed a sweep in Coors Field on Thursday, busting out big offense yet again in an 8-2 win.

Brandon Moss doubled and Kurt Suzuki singled in the top of the second inning and both came in to score on a throwing error to grab an early gift 2-0 lead. Moss hit another double in the top of the third that drove in two more runs and made it 4-0 A's.

The scoring stood at 4-0 until Josh Reddick hit a solo home run in the top of the eighth; his 15th homer of the season. Moss then led off the top of the ninth with his fifth home run and fourth in the series against the Rockies. Since being called up earlier this month, Moss' five home runs and two doubles comprise all seven of his big-league hits. He seems to be working out well so far.

Coco Crisp hit an RBI single and Cliff Pennington added an RBI groundout in the ninth to make it 8-0. Marco Scutaro hit a one-out home run to get the Rockies on the board in the bottom of the ninth and Tyler Colvin contributed an RBI double, but that would be the last gasp for Colorado in the game and in the series.

Not to be ignored amid all the offense is the performance of Oakland starting pitcher Jarrod Parker, who pitched seven shutout innings, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out six. Parker gets the win and improves to 3-3.

The Oakland Athletics continue to have their injury woes this season as slugger Yoenis Cespedes will once again sit out against the Colorado Rockies on Thursday, though skipper the team is hopeful that he can still be used as the DH in their upcoming series against the San Diego Padres.

Cespedes missed four straight games dealing with a hamstring strain, and had to be removed in the second inning of Wednesday night's contest after tweaking his hammy again. Hopefully he can get enough rest without having to be put on the disabled list again. The 26-year-old is hitting .273/.336/.485 with six home runs this season.

The Oakland Athletics have made themselves right at home in Coors Field. They took the second straight game of their interleague series by out-mashing the Colorado Rockies in a come-from-behind 10-8 win.

The A's scored two quick runs in the top of the first inning on a two-run shot by Seth Smith, a former Rockie. That lead was short-lived, as Todd Helton hit a grand slam in the bottom of the first and Josh Outman added an RBI single to make it 5-2 Colorado. Michael Cuddyer padded the lead with a solo home run in the bottom of the second.

In the top of the fourth, Brandon Inge hit and RBI single and Brandon Moss hit his third home run in two games to bring the A's to within a run, 6-5. Cuddyer answered right back with his second homer of the game to make it 8-5 Rockies.

Jonny Gomes hit a home run to lead off the sixth inning and Collin Cowgill hit an RBI single in the seventh to bring the A's to within a run. The score stood at 8-7 until the ninth inning.

Coco Crisp led off the ninth with a single and was bunted over to second. He stole third and came home on a Cowgill sacrifice fly to tie the game up at 8. Smith doubled and Josh Reddick was intentionally walked to set up the force. The move backfired, as Brandon Inge hit a two-out double to bring both runners home and give the A's the lead. Ryan Cook gave up a single to lead off the bottom of the ninth but induced a double play. Cook then hit Jason Giambi with a pitch before getting Wilin Rosario to fly out to end the game.

The A's will attempt to complete the sweep on Thursday.

The Oakland Athletics visited the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night to kick off a three-game interleague series. It appears as though Coors Field might be the cure to Oakland's recent woes, as the offense came alive in an 8-5 win.

The Rockies jumped out to a huge early lead, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Tyler Colvin led off the inning with a home run and the Rockies sent their full lineup to the plate, recording RBI singles from Michael Cuddyer, Chris Nelson and Wil Nieves.

The A's, however, answered back with a big inning of their own in the top of the third, hanging six runs on the home team thanks to RBI doubles by Seth Smith and Brandon Inge and home runs by Brandon Moss and Cliff Pennington. Oakland tacked on another run in the top of the fifth with Moss' second homer of the game. Todd Helton hit a solo shot of his own in the bottom of the frame to make it 7-5.

In the top of the seventh, Inge hit his seventh home run of the season for the eighth Oakland run of the game. The Rockies put two on with no outs in the bottom of the ninth for the heart of their order, but Ryan Cook struck out Carlos Gonzalez and Cuddyer swinging and got Helton to ground out to end the game and ensure the Oakland victory.

Bartolo Colon gave up five runs in five innings of work but managed to pick up the win to improve his record to 6-6.

The A's are hoping to get back on the right foot. Could Coors Field hold the answer to their woes?

The Oakland Athletics seemed to have a lot of momentum heading into their second batch of interleague games of 2012. Then they visited the Arizona Diamondbacks and were swept out of town in three games. Luckily, their next opponents are also coming off the losing end of a three-game sweep.

The A's will try to regain some of their mojo as they head into Coors Field on Tuesday for a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies. They will hope to take advantage of the offense-friendly confines, while at the same time hoping their pitchers can contain a formidable Rockies offense that is just beginning to wake up.

TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers

Tuesday's game begins at 5:40 p.m. PT and will be televised on CSN California. You can catch the radio broadcast on 95.7 FM The Game. Bartolo Colon tries to even up his 5-6 record as he faces right-hander Jeremy Guthrie.
