The San Francisco 49ers acquired Anquan Boldin on Monday, but once the buzz from free agency settles in, all of the talk in the Bay Area will surround the NFL Draft.
The 49ers have a bunch of picks to work with, while the Oakland Raiders are sitting pretty with the No. 3 pick in the draft.
Dan Kadar of SB Nation's NFL Draft site, released his last pre-free agency mock draft on Monday, and both Bay Area squads addressed major needs.
First, Kadar had the Raiders drafting Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, which will help the team get younger on the defensive line. In recent years, Oakland's front has been loaded with veterans, but Floyd would bring talent and youth to the position.
Later in the first round, the 49ers selected South Carolina safety D.J. Swearinger in Kadar's mock. After bringing in Boldin, San Francisco is going to have a tough time bringing back safety Dashon Goldson, so this could become a bigger need than it already is. Swearinger is a hard-hitting, ball-hawking safety that would add another dimension to the 49ers' defense.
