The Oakland Raiders will travel to Denver this week to face the rival Broncos. Both teams are 1-2 this season although the Raiders are fresh off a 34-31 upset win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite the win and identical records, not many NFL experts are picking the Raiders.
All 11 ESPN analysts who have submitted picks so far picked the Broncos. That is nothing new for Oakland as 11 of 12 ESPN NFL analysts picked against the Raiders last week. Jason Cole is the only Yahoo! Sports NFL analyst to submit his pick thus far and like the ESPN analysts, Cole also picked the Broncos.
Like ESPN and Yahoo! the CBS Sports analysts also universally picked Denver. All eight experts also picked against Oakland last week. Not much changes when you make the picks against the spread, but Jason La Canfora did pick the Raiders to cover the 6.5-point spread.
Out of 28 possible picks, just one analyst picked Oakland and it was against the spread. The good news, however, is 27 of 28 picks went against the Raiders last week as well.
