The Oakland Raiders have opened as 9.5-point underdogs for their Week 16 clash with the Carolina Panthers, according to Oddsshark.com.
The Raiders (4-10) ended a six-game losing streak with a 15-0 blanking of the lowly Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. Placekicker Sebastian Janikowski accounted for all of Oakland's scoring, nailing five-of-six field goals in the win. The Raiders offense has struggled in the second half of the season and hasn't scored more than 20 points since Nov. 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Carolina (5-9) is riding a two-game winning streak and has won three of their last four games after a disappointing 2-8 start to the 2012 season. The Panthers notched a 31-7 blowout of the San Diego Chargers last Sunday, and pulled off a 30-20 upset of the Atlanta Falcons the week prior.
The over/under for Sunday's game is currently set at 46 at most sportsbooks after opening at 45.5.
Kickoff is slated for 10 a.m. PT and the game will be televised on CBS.
