Rolando McClain returns from suspension ... playing scout team RB

Back from a two game suspension, line backer Rolando McClain is seeing time as a back up linebacker, a special teams players and scout team running back.

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

Rolando McClain rejoined the Oakland Raiders this week after a two game suspension for a Facebook rant where he posted several negative comments about the organization.

McLain is now listed as a reserve linebacker and special teamer, but this week Paul Gutierrez of CSN Bay Area reports he also got some extra reps with the scout team, as a running back.

Recently reinstated-from-suspension middle linebacker Rolando McClain, who was demoted to backup linebacker and special teams, was getting work at scout team running back, complete with the green beanie over his helmet.

McClain's return came after a meeting with Raider head coach Dennis Allen. Allen said he told McClain exactly what is expected of him going forward. The team will move on with McClain, although he will not return as the starting middle linebacker. Instead, McClain will play a backup role and contribute on special teams.

The Raiders host the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at 1:25 p.m. PT from O.Co Coliseum.
