Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden missed Wednesday's practice with a high ankle sprain, according to the team's injury report, and that doesn't bode well with a rising New Orleans Saints team coming to town.
Defensive back Matt Giordano (concussion), safety Tyvon Branch (neck), running back Mike Goodson (ankle) and defensive tackle Richard Seymour (knee/hamstring) also did not participate. McFadden and Goodson both suffered high ankle sprains from Week 9 that caused them to miss last week's 55-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Seymour also missed last week's game.
As for the Saints, running back Darren Sproles returned to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday. He was recovering from a hand surgery a few weeks back, and The Times-Picayune reports that interim coach Joe Vitt said the running back was "full-go" despite his label on the injury report.
Saints defensive end Junior Galette did not practice with a bum ankle, and neither did cornerback Corey White, who was out with a knee injury.
In addition, New Orleans wide receiver Courtney Roby was limited in practice with a shoulder problem.
