The Oakland Raiders had no answers against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, losing by a final score of 55-20.
The Ravens dominated the game from start to finish, taking a 10-0 lead in the first quarter that they never relinquished. Baltimore scored 17 points in the second quarter and 21 more in the third to take a commanding advantage.
Oakland actually outgained Baltimore in total offense, 422 to 419 yards. But they committed three turnovers and couldn't keep up with a couple of quick strikes by the Ravens that helped to put the game out of reach.
The Ravens improve to 7-2 and 5-0 at home, while the Raiders fall to 3-6 on the season.
Fantasy studs and duds
Joe Flacco had a monster fantasy performance, throwing for 341 yards, three passing touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for a touchdown, giving him four in total.
Baltimore wide receiver Torrey Smith had a nice game--despite hauling in just two passes, both went for touchdowns. He finished with 67 yards, tied for the most on the team.
Oakland wide receivers Denarius Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey put together nice statlines in the loss as well. Moore had 90 yards and a touchdown, while Heyward-Bey was close behind with 82 yards and a touchdown of his own.
Without Darren McFadden, the Raiders got almost no production from their running backs. Marcel Reece led the team with 48 yards on 13 carries, and the team had just 72 rushing yards in total.
Did they cover?
The Ravens entered the game as six-point favorites and won by 35. So yes, they did cover the spread.
What's next?
Baltimore will have a Sunday night matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Nov. 18, while the Raiders will take on the New Orleans Saints.
