The Oakland Raiders announced the signing of veteran wide receiver Derek Hagan on Thursday morning.
The 27-year-old Hagan should add depth to a Raiders receiving corps that is short-handed heading into their Week 1 matchup with AFC West rival San Diego Chargers. Denarius Moore missed the entire preseason with a hamstring injury and Jacoby Ford has missed the last three weeks with a sprained left foot. Both receivers are questionable for Monday night's game.
Hagan made the Raiders squad last year after a strong preseason as a possession receiver and played sparingly in six games during the season, finishing with 11 catches for 114 yards. He was later cut to make room for T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and finished the 2011 season with the Buffalo Bills.
