Raiders 2012 NFL Draft Grades: Oakland's Depleted Draft Doesn't Impress

The Oakland Raiders didn't have quite as many picks in the 2012 NFL Draft as they would have liked. As a result, the overall quality of their draftees was lowered. Many evaluators and analysts came away unimpressed by Oakland's roster additions.

Sports Illustrated has released their complete grades for the 2012 NFL Draft. Here is how the Raiders fared:

Oakland Raiders: Like the Saints, Oakland didn’t have a pick until the third round. The Raiders didn’t do too poorly given that challenge, landing a needed offensive lineman in Tony Bergstrom (95) and finding underrated WR Juron Criner at 168. It was a safer draft that New Orleans had in similar circumstances, but there are no stars here. Grade: C

The 2012 Raiders team will have to perform extremely well to silence the naysayers. Then again, that situation is nothing new for the Oakland team, or for their fans.
