2012 NFL Draft Results, AFC West: Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers Add Picks At Top Of The Fifth

Kansas City Chiefs

With the 146th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Chiefs have selected CB/S De'Quan Menzie out of Alabama. Menzie was a productive secondary player for the Crimson Tide, and Alabama players are always well coached. Menzie isn't fast but is a ball hawk and can add depth to the KC secondary.

San Diego Chargers

With the 149th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Chargers have selected OG Johnnie Troutman out of Penn State. Troutman is a good rush blocker, but isn't proficient enough at pass blocking to be a starter.

Denver Broncos

With the 137th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Broncos have selected DE Malik Jackson out of Tennessee. Jackson is a mammoth human being at 6'6" 285. He played tackle in college but he can play either tackle or end at the pro level. He has superior length and athleticism, and can either overpower guards or beat tackles off the edge..
