2012 NFL Draft Results: Oakland Raiders Select Miles Burriss At No. 129

With the No. 129 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders have selected LB Miles Burriss out of San Diego State..

It was just their second pick of the draft so far, having traded away picks in rounds one and two, while forfeiting their selection in round three by selecting quarterback Terrelle Pryor in the supplemental draft. They picked at the end of the third round with a compensatory selection though, bringing on interior lineman Tony Bergstrom.

With this selection, the Raiders as expected add depth to their linebacking corps, which is woefully thin. Burriss is an extremely athletic outside linebacker who performed a standing backflip for scouts at the Combine. He isn't blazing fast, but has good size at 6'2" and 236 pounds. He is versatile enough to play any linebacker position, which is exactly what the Raiders need with the new concepts on defense.
