With the 73rd pick of the 3rd round in the 2012 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers have selected Brandon Taylor, a safety from LSU. Taylor is a tough, ballhawking safety that played on one of the top two defenses in college football this past season. Though he might not be a starter at the next level, he'll add depth to the Chargers' defensive backfield as a playmaking safety.
Here is more on Taylor from Sports Illustrated.
Taylor lacks the size-speed numbers to start at the next level, but plays tough and smart. He's best suited to line up in a zone system and has enough skill to make a final roster.
The Chargers' next pick is the 15th selection of the 4th round, 110th overall. Head over to NFL.com to track every pick as the Draft moves on.
