With the 77th pick in the draft, the New York Jets select DeMario Davis, LB from Arkansas State .
This was slated to be the Raiders' third-round selection, but the Raiders opted to select QB Terrelle Pryor of The Ohio State University in the 2011 supplemental draft, thus forfeiting this pick. The Jets selected DE Quinton Coples from North Carolina with the 16th pick in the first round. In the second round, they selected Stephen Hill, WR from Georgia Tech
DeMario Davis is a good prospect who fell likely because of his small college. He has excellent size and is very explosive, with good skills against both the run and the pass. He possesses ideal linebacker size at 6'3" and 220 pounds. He will fit right in to the Jets' complex, attacking defense.
The Raiders could have got very good value at this selection, but if Terrelle Pryor pans out it will have been well worth the third rounder.
