Now official: Oakland Raiders are hiring former Broncos defensive coordinator Dennis Allen as head coach. Deal done.

The Raiders came to the decision after a fairly thorough search, in which Green Bay Packers assistant coach Winston Moss, Eagles Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinwig, Bears Offensive Coordinator Mike Tice, Packers Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers, and Dolphins Interim Head Coach Todd Bowles were all interviewed or rumored to be considered for the job.
The 39-year old Allen just finished up his first season as the Defensive Coordinator of the Broncos. He becomes the 19th Head Coach of the Raiders and the 9th since they moved to Oakland.
