2012 NFL Draft Order: Oakland Raiders Later Round Draft Position Awaits Cowboys-Giants Result

The Oakland Raiders wrapped up a disappointing 2011 campaign with a disheartening loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. The Raiders had a chance to clinch the AFC West with a win but came up short in the effort, thus ending their season. The Raiders dealt with numerous injuries and will use the offseason to shore up their depth.

The Oakland Raiders will have to primarily focus on free agency to shore up their holes as they are limited in the draft. Due to the numerous trades they have made in recent seasons, Oakland is without picks in rounds one through four and also round seven. They could work to acquire some additional picks, but they probably will not be picking during the first two days of the draft.

Nonetheless, there is still some draft order positioning to figure out for the few picks the Raiders do have. Now that the Raiders season is complete, they will now await the conclusion of the Giants-Cowboys game to better assess that position. Strength of schedule and possibly coin flips could factor into the final position, but they have a modest idea of where they could be drafting. With the numerous wins and loss today, the Raiders will be picking somewhere between picks 13 and 20 in the rounds in which they have picks.
