Darren McFadden Injury: Raiders RB Should Play Vs. Patriots

The status of Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden is the biggest concern going into next week's showdown with the New England Patriots. McFadden had to leave in the fourth quarter against the New York Jets and was replaced by Michael Bush. McFadden suffered a groin injury, and it looked like he'd be questionable to play next week.

A day later though, it's looking like everything should be alright for playing. McFadden believed that he was in good shape to play on Sunday, and now a league source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter that the tailback should be ready for action. The Patriots run defense isn't amazing, and McFadden's gamebreaking ability will be needed to ensure Jason Campbell can stay effective in the pocket. The Patriots are expected to get their points against the Raiders, so the offense needs to be able to keep up. McFadden is needed in that regard.
