Raiders DE Richard Seymour To Be Watched Closely By Medical Staff Vs. Bills

Richard Seymour was hoping to get into the backfield of the Buffalo Bills a lot this Sunday, just like old times when he was with the New England Patriots. However, he needs to stay healthy to stay on the field, and right now he's part of the walking wounded. Seymour was limited in practice all week due to ribs issues, and his status for this week's game had been in serious question.

Seymour will play in Orchard Park today, but only conditionally, as his snaps will be monitored by the Raiders staff. Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports he Oakland Raiders will be watching their defensive end closely on Sunday to see if he's at full status and will probably pull him out of the game whenever they feel like he's putting himself in danger of further injury. This is probably a half-satisfactory compromise to reach, but the Raiders aren't exactly facing the stoutest of offensive lines Sunday, so Oakland can probably still pull victory out of this one.
