Raiders Madden NFL 12 Ratings Released, But Don't Blink ...

ESPN continued releasing the team-wide rankings for EA's Madden NFL 12 with a full look at the Oakland Raiders and how they'll look on August 30th when the game ships. Unfortunately, the game will ship with outdated rosters (which will likely be corrected within a week or two after release) and will not account for free agency. So the Raiders, while they do look alright, are set to lose their best defensive player in Nnamdi Asomugha, and their two best offensive players in Zach Miller and Robert Gallery. Some key things to note below:

Oakland will lose the 89 overall (OVR) Zach Miller, 98 OVR Nnamdi Asomugha, and 87 OVR Robert Gallery. Rookie Stefen Wisniewski is pulling a 71 OVR, while the newly-resigned Kamerion Wimbley is getting much respect, at 87 OVR. Rolando McClain had a good boost, with an 82 OVR.  Perhaps the biggest thing to note is the fact that the Raiders are, once again, speed-oriented.

If you're new to Madden, speed rules everything. The developers do a lot to try and fix that, but it never works ... faster wide receivers dominate, and faster defensive backs can usually stop said fast receivers. It rarely comes down to route running ratings, and the Raiders have Darrius Heyward-Bey has 97 speed, while Jacoby Ford has 98. Running backs Darren McFadden and Taiwan Jones have 97 and 95 speed, respectively.

That's just pretty darn fast. They're losing some very solid players, but should still be a force to be reckoned with online. Check out the full list here.
