The Oakland Raiders have come to terms with former pro-bowl long snapper Jon Condo. Condo is a special teams stud for the Raiders. Besides being their long snapper, he is also a gunner on their kick off team and can often be seen making or participating in the tackle on a kick off. He is a very solid role player and the Raiders are happy to be bringing him back.
The Raiders also came to terms with two of its rookies. Fourth round pick, runningback Taiwan Jones, and fifth round pick, wide receiver Denarious Moore.
Normally, late round draft pick signings are not that exciting, its the high picks that everyone is interested in. However, these two guys are probably the most intriguing of the Raiders draft picks this year.
Taiwan Jones is a speed runningback in the mold of Chris Johnson. He fell to the fourth round primarily due to the fact that he went to a small, division II school. If his skill set can successfully translate into the NFL, the Raiders will have their very own Darren Sproles and easily the best backfield trio in the league.
Denarious Moore is interesting because he is a big bodied receiver who had a solid college career. The Raiders have a lot of young receivers, but none of them are very consistent. Moore has good hands and might be able to develop into the possession receiver the Raiders have been looking for.
