2011 Undrafted Free Agent Signing Rumors: Raiders To Sign QB Jordan La Secla From SJSU?

The Oakland Raiders have found their quarterback of the future. And by the future I mean an alternate universe where San Jose State Spartans quarterbacks rule the NFL landscape.

The Raiders appear to be on the verge of signing undrafted free agent quarterback Jordan La Secla, Paul Guteirrez of Comcast Sports Net California reports (Roxy Bernstein also reported this rumor from an anonymous source). Why? Because he's local I'm guessing, and he can provide a nice target for other defenders trying to make the final roster.

La Secla's stats at SJSU aren't that impressive. He completed 59% of his passes his senior season and averaged a solid 7.3 yards per attempt, but he threw 16 interceptions along with his 16 touchdowns. He had good first down stats but dropped off the precipice. Although he was hampered with one of the worst receiving corps in the country, La Secla does not look he has a serious shot at making the team, but you never know what'll happen in the Al Davis regime.
