NFL Playoff Picture: Chargers Victory Puts Them Two Games Behind Raiders, Broncos In AFC West

The San Diego Chargers finally got off their mortifying losing streak when they beat up the Jacksonville Jaguars 38-14 on Monday Night Football. Philip Rivers torched a Jaguars pass defense missing much of their secondary, and San Diego moved to within two games of the AFC West lead.

Despite being 5-7, the Chargers are not quite yet dead for that division title, with the Oakland Raiders and the Denver Broncos both only 7-5. However, the West seems very much up for grabs with the Kansas City Chiefs also holding the same record as San Diego. Oakland will have to monitor the teams behind them, but their main competition for the division title remains Denver. You can never count out San Diego though, even if they have brutal games forthcoming against Baltimore and Detroit before they square off with Oakland in Week 17.
