Darren McFadden Injury Update: Odds Are Slim Raiders Running Back Faces Green Bay Packers

We break down whether Darren McFadden will be able to play in Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. For more on the Raiders, check out Silver & Black Pride.

The Oakland Raiders continue a two-game road trip that takes them to Green Bay to face the undefeated Packers in Week 14. The Raiders have been playing short-handed in recent weeks and it looks like they will probably continue to be a bit short-handed. Although they are hoping to get Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford back for the game, Darren McFadden is likely going to sit for another week.

That tweet is primarily speculation by Steve Corkran, but it is based in the fact that McFadden has barely touched the practice field in six weeks. Barring full participation this week, it would be surprising to see McFadden active against Green Bay. I suspect he will get a limited workout or two in this week as he prepare to return for Week 15 against the Detroit Lions.

When McFadden Does return to the field, his initial game back will probably see him in some sort of time-share at the position with Michael Bush. Sunday against Miami saw Bush truly struggle for the first time this season. Otherwise he has been a very capable back and makes it interesting to see how the Raiders handle him when McFadden is healthy again.
