Rolando McClain Arrives In South Florida, Awaits Hue Jackson

Rolando McClain and the Oakland Raiders have had a tumultuous week and we still do not know the fate of the second-year linebacker out of Alabama. He was arrested, charged and released on bail, and now he has arrived in South Florida a day early before meeting with head coach Hue Jackson.

With the press hounding McClain at his hotel, he refused to comment on the multiple misdemeanor charges he now faces. Rolando did manage to say a few things on his way out, though, and CSN Bay Area was able to get ahold of the what transpired:

McClain was awaiting the arrival of his Oakland teammates at the official Raiders hotel and politely declined an interview, saying, "I've been advised to not say anything. Best thing I can do is just stay quiet and get ready for the game."

Asked by CSNCalifornia.com if he still planned on playing Sunday against Miami, McClain nodded his head affirmatively.

"No reason why I shouldn't," he said, before getting into an elevator.

That's certainly an interesting way to look at it. It's not every day that you get arrested and charged for being in possession of a deadly weapon, but it apparently hasn't stopped the linebacker from thinking he shouldn't play. We should know McClain's status within the next 24 hours or so. Coach Jackson has a big decision to make.
