Another day passes, and tailback Darren McFadden of the Oakland Raiders doesn't appear to be any closer to finding his way back to the football field this week. McFadden didn't practice again according to Steve Corkran of Bay Area News Group, which should put his status somewhere close to doubtful that he'll be seeing the field this week against the Denver Broncos.
McFadden's absence will mean a steady dose of Michael Bush and Taiwan Jones in the backfield. The Raiders are very high on the rookie from Eastern Washington, but he has yet to see significant playing time on a football field, so it's likely his learning curve will take some time for him to produce at a high level. This probably means the Raiders will have to rely heavily on Bush and make him the feature back this week. It's a big 'if' as to whether he can handle that load without wearing down.
