Darrius Heyward-Bey Injury Update: DHB Sore But Contributes In Raiders Victory

The Oakland Raiders were able to defeat the Chicago Bears on Sunday, and received some contributions from a player who seemed to be the victim of a serious victory just one week earlier.

Wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey was taken off the field on a stretcher in last week's game against the Minnesota Vikings, but was able to catch a flight home on the Raiders team plane, albeit wearing a neck brace. He was right back in action on Sunday in a limited capacity, picking up 42 yards on four catches.

According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, Heyward-Bey was still feeling discomfort in his neck and was leaving his playing time decisions to his coach. Hopefully he was not rushing back into action prematurely, although time will tell if the injury really is as minor as he is suggesting.
