The Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears haven't generated much offense in the first half, but there have been some points put on the board. Seabass has all the scoring for the Raiders early, as he's put two field goals right inside the left upright to give Oakland the early lead in the first quarter. Oakland took advantage early on their first drive with two big connections between Carson Palmer and Darrius Heyward-Bey and Brandon Myers for 19 and 24 yards to set up an early Janikowski 40 yarder.
Caleb Hanie and the Chicago Bears are really coming out aggressively to try and pass the football. They didn't do much with it early. Hanie and the Bears went three-and-out on their first three offensive possessions, and Hanie threw a pick to Stanford Routt deep in his own territory to set up Janikowski's second field goal, this one from 47 yards. Matt Forte helped bring the Bears to midfield on the next possession, but Hanie then threw another interception, this one to Michael Huff. It hasn't been a good start for Jay Cutler's replacement.
