Raiders vs. Vikings Score Update: Raiders Trail 7-3 After First Quarter

The Oakland Raiders have had their hands full thus far with the Minnesota Vikings' Adrian Peterson in the first quarter at the Metrodome, riding him throughout the first period to a 7-3 lead over the Silver and Black.

Sebastian Janikowski got the the Raiders on the board with about a minute left in the quarter with a 29 yard field goal after a nice drive from Carson and Co. Palmer was 4 for 5 for 29 yards in the first quarter, while fullback Marcel Reece currently leads the Raiders on the ground with 2 carries for 25 yards. Tight End Kevin Boss leads the team with three catches for 19 yards.

Adrian Peterson already has six carries for 26 yards in the first quarter, including a 12 yard scamper for the lone TD scored thus far. Christian Ponder is moving the ball well, finishing the period 5 for 6 for 31 yards while Percy Harvin has two catches for 19 yards. A penalty erased a 35 yard Percy Harvin TD already, so the Raiders should be thankful they are where they are.
