As the Oakland Raiders get ready to head to the great Midwest to take on the Minnesota Vikings, two of their most productive offensive players were once again sidelined in practice Friday as Darren McFadden and Jacoby Ford both sat out, and likely will do the same on Sunday as well.
Per Raiders insider John Dickinson on Twitter:
It was going to take a miracle to get McFadden ready to play this week, who will now miss his third straight game with his sprained foot he suffered against Kansas City. So that was no surprise. As for Ford, many felt that he could possibly lace them up this Sunday after spraining his foot against the San Diego Chargers, claiming that it wasn't as serious as McFadden's injury. But missing the Friday walkthrough is usually a very strong indicator where you will be on Sunday, and that likely destination is the sideline.
Hopefully these guys can get healthy and be a factor down the stretch for the first place Raiders, who will need them both if they want to stay on track for a playoff berth.
