Darren McFadden Injury Update: Raiders RB On Crutches, Will Reevaluate Next Monday

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden sprained his foot in Sunday's loss against the Kansas City Chiefs and it looks like the severity of the injury will not be fully known until Monday, October 31. McFadden was at Raiders headquarters on Monday with his foot in a boot and walking with crutches. He is planning on resting the foot for the next week and re-evaluate it next Monday.

The belief is that McFadden will be able to get back on the field following the bye week, but we really will not know for sure until next week. Since the Raiders are on a bye this week, they do not need to release an injury report. Their next required injury report is the Wednesday November 2 practice participation report for their game against the Denver Broncos.

Given the foot injury, even if McFadden feels 100% next week, it would not be surprising to see the team work Michael Bush further into the mix to keep McFadden from getting overworked. They might even work Taiwan Jones in a bit more if the situation calls for it.
