Darren McFadden Injury Update: Sprained Foot Sidelines Raiders Running Back In First Quarter

Editor's Update: Darren McFadden reportedly has a sprained foot and is back on the Raiders sideline.

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden suffered a leg injury of some sort midway through the first quarter of the Raiders contest with the Kansas City Chiefs. McFadden had two rushes for four yards and one reception for three yards before leaving with the injury. He went back to the locker room after suffering the injury and has not yet returned.

Michael Bush has come on in place of McFadden but the Raiders are also mixing in Taiwan Jones. Through the first quarter, Bush has three carries and Jones has two carries. Given their power and speed dynamic, expect the Raiders to mix in a healthy dose of the two of them as long as McFadden is sidelined.

McFadden is off to a dominant start, but the injury bug has been an issue for him throughout his NFL career. The Raiders offense goes as far as the rushing game takes them so they need McFadden back if they want to get back into this game. They currently trail 14-0 after a Kyle Boller pick-six and a nine-play touchdown drive by the Chiefs.
