Kyle Boller did not get off on the right foot in his first start for the Oakland Raiders. After the Raiders defense took advantage of Chiefs offensive penalties and forced them to punt, Boller took his first snaps at quarterback. After getting seven yards on a scramble, Boller dropped back to pass, looked left, and then threw right into double coverage. Chiefs defender Kendrick Lewis went 59 yards the other way to give KC the early 7-0 lead.
This was the ensuing scene at Overstock.com Coliseum:
Boller didn't help himself when he threw an interception on his third possession to Chiefs defender Brandon Flowers. Matt Cassel responded with an immediate scoring drive for the Chiefs. Boller has completed all three of his passes; it's just that two of them have been to Kansas City players. Could we see Carson Palmer?
